Maintaining a sense of place is important to Rachel Turner. From the name of her company, to the song-inspired names of her handmade soaps (e.g. “A Bar Named Sue”), Rachel is intent on communicating her place in the world (formerly rural Tennessee, currently Nashville). Inspired by her great-grandmother’s homemade lye soap, Rachel has created a refined product using only natural food grade ingredients to bring color and scent to her products.
