Meet the Team: Nancy VanReece, VP of Business Development

Meet Nancy VanReece, Batch's VP of Business Development and the queen of building relationships. An active advocate for her community, she creates space for everyone to thrive. If you have the chance to speak with her, you can expect to hear a "greetings, friend!", "groovy, man!", "rock on!", or "salutations"— sure to inspire a smile.

Nancy, tell us a little about your position at Batch.

I'm the Facilitator of Attitudes of Gratitude.

Where are you from, and how long have you been in Nashville?

Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, I have been in Nashville since 1986.

How long have you been working for Batch?

I count in Christmases; this will be my fifth Holiday season at Batch.

What's your favorite part about your job as Vice President of Business Development?

Helping big business help small business.

What are your favorite items that we have at Batch?

What things do you enjoy outside of work?

Place-making.

Favorite spot in Nashville and why? 

Margot Cafe is our go-to for a special meal. It is a friendly place full of love and care.

Favorite musical artist, and why?

Citizen Cope is so great and I love all of Clarence's work. Lately, the music and lyric of Katie Pruitt has me returning over and over again.

Have you picked up any new hobbies, skills, or habits since Covid shut-downs began?

I have learned that vodka is not the same thing as tequila.

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?

Hang out with my wife outside while walking gallery to gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM.

Aside from necessities, what could you not go a day without?

Playing with my dog Chance! 

Any interesting facts or final thoughts?

I've run for office three times and won twice, all while using a logo designed by Batch co-founder Rob Williams. I am a National Ambassador for a precision-medicine survey. I am the first out woman elected to a legislative body in the State of Tennessee.
